Life Series: Turnaround
He is a boy who lived in one of the central districts of Tamil nadu. He was born in a family in which a 3-bogus meals/day will be considered as a luxury. There are lots of debts for their family to pay. But not affected by the family’s condition he studied well and also a school topper consistently. One of the brilliant students he is, in the twelfth public examination he scored above 90% of marks and got a seat in the most reputed engineering college in Tamil Nadu, Anna University.
His first semester went well. But as his second semester has started, he was not able to pay his fees. As already they have got money from their neighbors and relatives they can’t ask them. Also the process of getting education loan is not easier at that time made sure that he has to quit the college. But he has no other go. He came back to his village again and started to go to an oil mill for some salary that would support his family economically.

Time rolled on. 4 years went by no time. His salary has increased by a bit. But oil mill was running in a loss mode now. The owner of the oil mill decided to sell the mill. But this time the boy doesn’t want to let lose another opportunity. He went to his owner has said that give me 6 months I will make this mill into a profitable venture. He started to work more hours and with more determination. The oil mill started to make the progress. So the owner persisted with him even though by the end of 6 months it didn’t started to give the profits. By the end of the year his words turned true. It has started to make profits.
By the end of the second year, he has asked his owner that whether he is ready to sell the mill to him. After considering the hard work he has put in and also about his venture, he said ok. Now the boy is owning the mill and also running his life successfully.

This story is very very interesting. I have read these types of incidents in Junior Vikatan, and this magazine takes action and helps out students, who have difficulty in paying fees etc. But you have expressed it nicely, Kanagu.
Good to know that he is doing well, now.

Kanagu, That is a fantastis story!! So full of hope and optimism.. I guess it just goes to say that hard work, optimism, determination and confidence can make a difference. Just as these qualities can make a rags to riches story, some people with all the opportunities in the world can go from riches to rags without these qualities..
Great story!
kanagu: True Smitha and thank you
And congratulations on completing the 5th book too
You are on a roll!
kanagu: thanks Smitha..
Great story! I was pleasantly surprised by the good end after the unfortunate beginning!
