Kanagu met Vimmuuu :))

Its decided… We are going to meet in Café coffee day (CCD)

in Ishpahani Centre

by Saturday 5.P.M. after some analysis of where can we meet in peace

 But poor Kanagu don’t know where this place is and poor Vimmuuu don’t know the bus route to reach that place and all he was able to say was ‘it’s near the Gemini Flyover and its in Nungambakkam’.

 So by 4, I have started from my home being optimistic about reaching there (place I don’t know) in 1 hour. I have decided to go to Nungambakkam and then ask for the way from some of the people there. The climate of the day is just opposite to the climate prevailed during Pixie and Monu meet. No signs of rain or dark clouds in any direction which you mention from Geography. All I can see was pretty (!!!!) blue sky with Sun in no mood to reduce its attack even during this September.

 By 4:20, when Vimmuuu called he had realized that I won’t reach there by 5 and I am pretty sure about that. He said that he was much closer to that place and asked me to call when I am near to it.

 By 5:15, I am nearing Nungambakkam but in absolute opposite way. While nearing it I called one of my friend, he said just get down at the coming bus stop (Sterling Road) and get a bus from there to Gemini Flyover. I have done the same.

 By 5:30, I called Vimmuuu and said that I made a travel disaster and will reach hopefully there by 6. While talking when I mentioned I have crossed ‘Shastri Bhavan’ he said ‘oh!! You are so near… you will be there in 15 minutes… and I will be there soon.

 I have started to ask how to reach Ispahani centre and from which stop I have to take the bus… one good heart helped me in showing the bus stop and when I asked the other one there, he said ‘the stop is there’. By this way I walked, walked and walked and reached Ispahani centre without taking the bus by 5.50. I am in the mood of saying ‘Phew!!!’ instead said ‘YAY!!!’…

 To share happiness I have called Vimmuuu and said I have reached and asked where is he? With a widest grin possible on my face He said ‘I am on the way’. So my mood is changed to anytime expect him with my eyes wide open

After looking around the place, I am cursing myself for finding it in hard way as I have been there sometimes but to other restuarant in the opposite lane. It thought me an important lesson to know the names of teh building whereever I go

 But after some 10 minutes, I am bored as I am walking end to end of that small place and also there is nothing worthwhile to see inside that building. I went out of the building and sat in the bus stop and logged into blogger dashboard to see any new posts. Swaram has just posted her loooooooooooooooooooong post on Bangalore and I have started to read it. And when I finished and started to put a comment, my mobile blinked ‘Vimmuuu calling’

 Vimmuuu: Hi, where are you??

 Me: I am here. Where are you??

 Vimmuuu: I have reached here.

 Me: I am just outside. Let me see.

 And there he is. I have spotted him. (I am still outside and seeing over the wall) He is wearing a white pant and side stripped T-shirt and I have started to wave my hand at him fiercely. For some 5 seconds we didn’t spoke from our mobiles and I am smiling  like a mad man at him and for return he was staring like this .

So I have decided to put an end to this embarrassment by introducing myself. And when I entered back into the centre… I am seeing another Vimmuuu parking his bike and with headset on.

Arghhh… I said to myself and I said ‘Hi’ to Vimmuuu…

So with formal handshakes we moved inside. I didn’t looked at the man, to whom I have waved my hand… to don’t get that more face.

  Boy… this CCD’s are too crowded I say… and we managed a seat for both of us and started to discuss about non-sense things. That is the first time I am going for CCD outside my office. So I don’t know their manners of not taking the orders before customer ask them for 10 times, “Sir, can you please take the order??” We not even handed over a menu card. After 5 times of asking, they have given the menu card and after another 5 times they came to take the order. As I had sore throat that day, I have asked for ‘Masala Garam’(literally tea) and any sandwich kinda thing

Vimmuuu was in roaring form that day, picking up all kind of items which are not available there.

Vimmuuu: This one??

She: No sir..

Vimmuuu: This one??

She: No sir.

(Put this for another 3 or 4 times)

Atlast, Vimmuuu understood what to ask…

Vimmuuu: Ok.. tell me what you have??

 She has pointed some items and said they are available. So the ordering part is done. And we started to talk about bloggers in the blog samaj and our meet in May and who all will attend that. And then started to talk to bloggers and called up Smita, Ash, Crafty and Swaram. Its really good talking with them

And by the time whatever we have ordered came. Me and Vimmuuu like on seeing my tea. There is no tea in that cup. Only hot water.. in another one small jug like cup some hot milk besides that a tea bag and a sugar packet. Seriously I don’t know how to make tea with them and thats why I am ordering it. But still… its like buying raw materials from a grocery shop and making tea by ourselves. Good that they didn’t given kettle to heat the same to suit us. Phew!!!!

CCD’s tagline says ‘ A lot can happen over coffee’.. but I never guessed that making my first tea is one of them. We talked for another half an hour and then started to move out of the place. Came to the parking lot and again talked for some 20 minutes about the tamil cinema and the music. After that we decided to go some movie in one of the coming weekends. Hopefully we will go soon. I am waiting for the next meet…. Its total fun… I will tell you all.

PS: I must have searched in Google maps for the Ishapahani Center and that thoughe came to me just now only.
