What lies ahead? – Sequel to Who is guilty?

November 19, 2008

When I have written the first part of this story I just wanted to add some more. But I thought then the story will become too long. I finished and posted it. Then one of my readers Sahaja suggested that I can write a sequel to it. Thanks to her. And somehow I have managed to continue from where I had left. You can read the part I who is guilty? here.

The old man was shocked because his son was run out of his home as he repeatedly scolded him for not studying well. The age of his son was 11 then. He can’t find his son after that. He was thinking that what would have been happened to my son? Whether he will be in a good position or turned himself into rogue. He started to see his son in Shiva and said that, “Shiva, even though you have done this out of hunger, you will be punished. I have some property in my name; you sell it and start a new life of your own when you are released from the jail. I am saying this as your father.” Shiva can’t stop wondering why this man was voluntarily helping him. “Why you have to help me?” he asked. Old man said about the story of his son. Shiva felt for the old man but refused to take the money given him but old man convinced him. They both conversed between themselves and came to know a lot about each other. Their relationship started to grew stronger.

Two days later, Shiva was produced in the court. Judge ordered that Shiva must be in jail for one month as punishment. He was disappointed and his anger turned against the society. He was transferred to another cell, where his inmate was a killer, who kills for money. Shiva was feared to speak to him. He always eagerly waits for chance to speak with old man. As the days passed, Shiva started to spoke with his inmate. His inmate was a man who never confesses that what he was doing was wrong. He will argue that this is the self-employment he had to earn money and continue to blame the society. As Shiva already being angry with the society for not giving him any respect, his speeches were like oil in the fire that has been started to die down. As he started to get attracted by the words of his inmate, he started to move away from the old man. Old man was very much worried as somebody whom he sees like his son was moving into wrong path. But he couldn’t do much about it.

Shiva was amazed as he heard the links of his inmates with some big heads in the city. He started to narrate his killings in a heroic way to Shiva. Now Shiva was ready to do anything for his living. As he is going to be released in few days, he got some contact numbers from his inmate, whom he said will help him. The friends of the inmate are thieves who rob money from people. Thoughts which was running through the mind of the inmate was how he can use Shiva when something goes wrong while doing some mischievious activities. Shiva not even visited old man on the day of his release.

Shiva joined with his inmate’s friends. They were a 3-member group. They had given him food and whatever he wanted. He started to trust them. They took Shiva along with them whenever they are going burgle a house. Couples of months were passed away. One night, they have decided to rob money from a man who was passing by in motorcycle. They stopped his bike, one of the thieves among them shown machete at him. But that man was started to fight with them. In that fight, a man from the group digs the machete into the stomach of the man came in motorcycle. They all started to ran off except Shiva. He had never seen a murder in his life. In fear, he didn’t know what to do. He ran towards that man and took machete out of his stomach and searched for some vehicles there to send this man to hospital. Some men were come there but seeing him with knife in his hand nobody was ready to help him. As the time gone, the man was died there itself.

To be continued….

It’s sad that he took the wrong path again when there was a golden chance to correct himself 😦 Don’t know what’s going to happen next, waiting fort the third part 🙂

@ Kanagu : Wow your hero finally finds a new job. The moral of the story seems to be never resist violent crime. Better to lose a bit of money then finding yourself disemboweled by a machete.
