Words Matters

July 18, 2009

Now after the statue issue, another controversial thing was blown out well by the UP CM Ms.Mayawati to gain political mileage. UP Congress committee leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi has made a remark which is surely unacceptable… her speech goes as follows:

‘Is 75,000 rupees enough for the girls who have been raped and murdered in UP. Mayawati spent 5 lakh rupees on helicopter rides to see these girls. First she went to Meerut then to Ghaziabad and finally she gave Rs 75,000 to a girl who was murdered. These girls should tell Mayawati that may be she should be @##*! then they will give her 1 crore as compensation.”

More than the monetary compensation, these girls will need a counselling with a psycologist which will help them from not taking any decision that will prove to be fatal for their life. But I don’t know how many were getting that. Rita has the right to question the amount being given to the victims but her question went further than that and pointed directly to Mayawati.Β Mayawati will embrace these things well and create a havoc and will pretend that the whole dalit community was in danger.. here no wonder she has done perfectly that.

She acted swiftly and arrested her under every possible law(Joshi, who was arrested on Wednesday night, has been booked under section 153 A (delivering inflammatory speeches) and section 109 of IPC (using abusive language) besides provisions of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act)Β exists in Indian constituition. If the same swiftness has been showed by her in the development of Uttar Pradesh means we should have proud about that. But the biggest state in India has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Starting from politicians with criminal backgrounds, SP’s flawed election agenda of anti-english and anti-technology, statues in the people’s tax money and now this. I am yet to hear something positive about the state.

Here our politicians have a culture of seeing a opposition party members as a enemy of themselves. They seem to forgot that they working on the same motive of development of the nation and its people, and the only thing that divides them was their ideology in achieving it. If Rita has thought about that means, then she shouldn’t have made that remark on Mayawati. Then there is the party heads who seem to enjoy this kind of personal attacks.

Mayawati, even though acted swiftly for the remarks against her, she has failed in her primary duty of her people’s safety. She herself know, there will be attack on the house of Rita(Who knows she may be mastermind behind that). But she didn’t given any kind of protection and the goons have burnt her house. Now the FIR is being filed. I don’t know who is going to get punished. Mayawati in the process of showing herself the face of Dalits forgets about the human values.

She has started to dig her own grave and we can only hope she will be sent out from the power by the people wisely.

Not everyone can become a leader. Only a human can become a leader. And she is not.

I disagree with you when you say Mayawati is not human…She’s human…Only a human can be so greedy and selfish…She’s greedy for power and all that it brings with it…

kanagu: Thats a different way of saying it bones…. anyway she can’t be acceptable as a leader 😑

    • July 19, 2009 7:17 am

Well, she’s a ‘leader’…Unfortunately, leaders today are all just like her…

      kanagu: 😦

Taj corridor made her to resign before and wish this issue and her statues becomes a reason for her to resign now.

kanagu: Hope it happens Saritha πŸ™‚

It is such a sad state.. Bahuguna certainly said a little too much. I wish she had just made her points – which are certainly valid ones, instead of diluting the real issue by abusing Mayawati too. Now the sad thing is, nobody is really talking about the real issues that Bahuguna raised – and instead the controversy has gone into a different level altogether..

kanagu: True Smitha… everything seems went out of control and the real issue was forgotten.. thanks to our hyperactive politicians 😦

I just wish people like Mayawati is given a good answer by the people in elections.. Sadly a lot of people seem to agree with her policy of building statues and stuff.. So she certainly has her eye on the votebank – very firmly 😦

kanagu: Who is agreeing with her populist, condemnable measures Smitha,… then they have been in wrong thinking 😦

  5. July 19, 2009 1:48 am

Whatever might happen, I somehow can’t take the fact out of my mind that whatever our politicians say, they say it while keeping an eye on the next elections!
Its just a mud slinging match to decide the winner in the next election. Nothing more.

kanagu: True Amit.. they are not able to think beyond the next elections 😦

  6. July 19, 2009 3:14 am

I too think, this is a stunt for the next elections. And yes, people should be a little careful when they make public speeches, otherwise they need to learn the hard way, like this.

    Destination Infinity

kanagu: Yes DI.. words thats are being said is really important

  7. July 19, 2009 3:25 am

good one dude……… Bones comment was also classic!!!

yes, I find the whole thing, so stupid……….

    people are crazy!!!!!

    kanagu: Thanks machi.. πŸ™‚
    it’s really really stupid 😦

  8. July 19, 2009 7:14 am

She took it one step further, one small step which resulted in such ugly and inappropriate comments!

And I completely agree with your last line – “Not everyone can become a leader. Only a human can become a leader. And she is not.”

    kanagu: Welcome here Pixie πŸ™‚

yes.. it’s all went many a step further and they forget the real issue altogeher.. 😦

  9. July 19, 2009 10:41 am

Each time we think that Indian politics has sunk to the lowest level, our politicians surprise us by going even lower!

Yes, sadly, it’s all done with the next elections in mind….

kanagu: Amazing na Manju.. they always surprise us.. πŸ™‚
they are really short sighted πŸ™‚

  10. July 19, 2009 12:08 pm

True…but after a point it becomes a case of “who is doing what with whom”? Whether it is BMW- behen Mayawati and Congress.

All they look for is mileage and more mileage!!

kanagu: True Ekta…. I don’t know how much Rita is concerned while saying that statement 😦

  11. July 19, 2009 12:20 pm

Really, Rita went overboard and fell into the ditch that Mayavathi, had dug for herself.

kanagu: Yes ji,… she went overboard while saying it 😦

  12. July 19, 2009 9:12 pm

Both are at fault and both are incapable persons.

    kanagu: True Reema 😦

  13. July 19, 2009 9:12 pm

    Kanagu,

While I don’t have much respect for politicians like Ms. Mayawati or Ms. Joshi, I must admit that Mayawati is one of the most vilified politicians in India. Mayawati is just as bad as any other politician in India. She is surely corrupt (Taj corridor scam), extremely vain (building statues of herself) and has a lot of criminal politicians in her party (BSP).

But the crooked “mainstream media” scoundrels seem to hate her more than any other lowly criminal politician like Mulayam Singh Yadav, Amar Singh, Lalu Yadav, Ram Vilas Paswan etc. Why is that?

Is it because she is a woman? No, that cannot be the case since Antonia Maino (Sonia Gandhi) and Bianca Maino (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) are also women and the crooks of the “mainstream media” absolutely love them though they are corrupt as well. In case one has not noted, Antonia Maino had her boot-licker Manmohan Singh direct the CBI to take her Italian family friend Ottavio Quattrochi’s name (the prime accused in the infamous Bofors case) off the Interpol’s most wanted list of fugitives who were running away from justice. And the so-called “gentleman” Manmohan Singh, like the loyal and shameless boot-licker and chair-warmer that he is, dutifully obeyed 😑

Is is because she is a Dalit? No, that cannot be the case since Ram Vilas Paswan and Meira Kumar are also Dalits. The crimes of Paswan are ignored by the media while Meira Kumar seems to be in the good books of the “mainstream media” scoundrels.

Is it because she runs a caste-based party? No, that cannot be the case since crooks like Mulayam, Amar, Paswan, Lalu etc. all run extremely casteist, corrupt parties full of criminals.

Is it because she is NOT the wife/girlfriend/daughter/daughter-in-law/sister/sister-in-law/co-sister-in-law/mother/mother-in-law/grand-mother/aunt/grand-aunt/cousin/niece of an existing politician? Could be, since there are not too many politicians (especially women) who do not fall into any one of the above categories.

Is it because she is capable of astounding the crooks in the “mainstream media” with her performance in the elections, thereby exposing all their “poll predictions”, “exit polls” etc. as lies? Could be, since the “mainstream media” scoundrels don’t like anyone exposing the lies dished out by them.

Is it because she is tough on crime and criminals? Could be, because some of the “mainstream media” scoundrels do have links to criminals, especially of the underworld variety.

Mulayam Singh had completely ruined UP by giving a free run to criminals of every kind, from lowly goons and thugs to drug smugglers and underworld dons and mass-murderers. But Mulayam and Amar Singh, whose party has the highest percentage of criminal politicians in it, and who have openly expressed ideas of taking India back to the Stone-Age, are never vilified too much by the “mainstream media” scoundrels. Why is that?

Is it because Mulayam and Amar have strong links to the underworld dons in UP, Delhi as well as Mumbai and the backing of certain large, well known corporate houses and Mayawati doesn’t? BINGO! That must be the main reason! Apart from the fact that Mayawati is the main hurdle to Raul Maino’s (Rahul Gandhi’s) idea of growing his party’s base in UP, of course. After all, the “mainstream media” scoundrels’ favourite politicians all happen to belong to the infamous dynasty and their shameless boot-lickers, apart from the Communist Pigs of India (Marxist).

I don’t respect Mayawati because she is as bad as any politician in India and uses her caste and gender identity to garner votes. She hasn’t really done much to uplift the pathetic status of Dalits under her administration and uses them as a solid vote bank to exploit. Despite the fact that UP has a Dalit woman CM, Dalits continue to suffer as badly as ever before due to the filthy caste system.

While the crooked “mainstream media” scoundrels have widely publicised the arrest of Ms. Joshi, I wonder why they don’t even mention the arrest of Kashmiri leaders who are thrown in jail for protesting against the gang-rape and murder of girls and the murder of a youth in the Kashmir Valley. Is the gang-rape and murder of Kashmiri women by some filthy scum beings not as bad as the rape and murder of a Dalit woman in UP? Are Kashmiris not Indians? If they are Indians, then why should the “mainstream media” treat them differently? Or is it because the scoundrels in the “mainstream media” are aware that Kashmiris are being deliberately oppressed by India???

kanagu: True Raj.. Mainstream has hidden many a things than they have shown..
if we dug deep into each and every famous personalities there will be lot of things which will lead us to a state of shock of sure..
and I know whoever at the top have bend themselves infront of some or other to keep themselves stick to their position..
I never said any politician is corruption-free…. I think to be in power that is the price you have to give.. not being honest….
Days a honest politician can survive are went with 1970 itself…

One thing I remember is, in one Q&A answer section, Mr. Madan answered to the question:
How Gandhi and Kamaraj will fare in present elections??
His answer was they won’t get a ticket itself 😦

to get a ticket you must be corrupt, power-hungry and possess the inhumanly features 😑

What to do our politicians are like that….they will do any gimmick or go to any level to gain
    political mileage.
@ maywathy, yeahh u r right she is not a leader and she can’t be….she is always after power…don’t knw when the up people will understand this

kanagu: Very sad situation Anish 😦 don’t know where we are going 😦
