Art, Arattai, Aarpattam – Children’s festival
Nalandaway’s Art, Arattai, Aarpattam was kick started by yesterday and its going to be held till August 1st, 2010. Its a festival for children with lot of workshops going to conducted, films are going to be screened and also some stage plays are going to happen specially for kids. In their (Nalandaway’s) own words,
NalandaWay’s Art Arattai Aarpattam is an annual chilidren’s art, music, theatre and film festival. It provides a space for children and their families to discover new experiences of the arts, to express themselves, to experiment with new ideas, to challenge boundaries, to be inspired, and to have fun together. The festival is conducted every year in partnership with UNICEF,and is now into its third successful year.
Nalandaway is a social organization whom works with children from various backgrounds(mostly poor) and brings out the creativity in them by encouraging them to do different activities through theatre, visual arts, music, dance, radio and films. Surely a work that needs to applauded as they are concentrating in developing the other skills of kids.
